Omphysio practice provides excellent care and treatment. I have recently been attending the clinic following general surgery for a quadricep tendon rupture and patella avulsion fracture. The care and attention given across the practice and the various treatments from deep massage, to muscular scar repair and release, and propriocentric exercises to help with the overall recovery have been second to none. The practitioners take care to listen and encourage especially to the changing circumstances each week as the recovery cycle progresses and changes, and also to listen during the treatment sessions themselves as they work on the affected areas. I also attended the practice over 10 years ago for a double Achilles tendon rupture. The problem was fixed, has not re-occurred and I have been running pain-free since then. Overall a thorough recommendation.

I contacted Dr Wu after being let go by my Dr and the west middlesex hospital (who couldn't find a reason for debilitating headaches), after tests which included a CT scan. they were all very professional but at a loss as to the cause. I was assured I didn't have Trigeminal neuralgia, (which was my original diagnosis) yet the headaches were debilitating, on off on off day in and day out. Dr Wu questioned me re my severe headache issue and proceeded to the first of 5 treatments. A half hour under acupuncture, followed by back, neck, shoulder and cranial massage/pressure work, with a Chinese medicine to drink twice a day. I thought after the first session that it might be slightly better, was convinced that the second and third sessions showed improvement, and by the 4th I was confident he was solving the issue. The fifth session was a day before I went on a weeks holiday all armed with pain relief pills just in case. The treatment worked a treat, Dr Wu is an expert and I didn't have a single second of discomfort on holiday or since. His genius and gentle and humorous manner make for a fantastic experience and effective treatment. Thank you Dr Wu, you are an excellent Dr and great company throughout my treatment plan. Acupuncture is an ancient system of treatment, which developed in SE Asia over 2500 years ago. It involves using sterilised, single-use needles that are very thin and flexible. These are inserted into places in your skin that the experience of thousands of years has shown to be beneficial for your health and the relief of pain.I have trained for example in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Channel and Ear acupuncture. They each have different strengths and approaches. Personally I favour Channel and Japanese acupuncture, although I've practised Chinese-style acupuncture for over 35 years. My original training was in Five-Element acupuncture, which I also use regularly.Many patients come first for pain or other health issues.Research: Western medicine makes big claims for success although when you examine them, many (apparently over 80%!) drugs when tested are found to be ineffective. Very little testing has been done on acupuncture, but the results are gradually accumulating in its favour. How do I know where to place the needles? Based on theory (almost as much theory as Western medicine!) and after discussion with you, I may take your pulse the Chinese way, examine your abdomen and/or where there is discomfort or pain, look at your tongue, and do a series of other forms of examination. Only then can I come to a diagnosis and be able to make a treatment plan and start to help you.Acupuncture is almost painless, has few side-effects, and often leaves people feeling wonderfully relaxed and comfortable with themselves.Sometimes I may do what is called 'cupping', 'moxibustion', or other treatment connected with acupuncture, or recommend herbs or nutritional or other changes or treatments.

I have just started treatment at the Atlas Chiropractor clinic for lower back pain, it's something I have suffered with for years, through wear and tear etc. It has been somewhat debilitating at times, however, after my first visit and treatment, I feel confident to imagine healthier and happy times ahead!

The dry-needling acupuncture is part of the Chiropractic treatment, so does not have its own consultation.  You would need to book in for a consultation with the Chiropractor, who will then decide whether acupuncture would be an appropiate treatment method for you and the complaint you have.

Dry-needling is a form of acupuncture.  It is used in conjunction with other Chiropractic treatment techniques to reduce muscle tension and stimulate the nervous system.  It can be very effective for conditions like Tennis elbow, tendonitis, chronic muscle tension and can give pain relief with osteoarthritis.
