I took the decision to seek treatment and subsequently started seeing Eoin in Spring/Summer 2017, following many years of issues, including abuse of alcohol. Decades of bottling things up had taken their toll, emotionally and physically. The treatment sessions with Eoin have opened my eyes and heart to my innermost feelings to what's important in life all the time. He enabled me to explore my past experiences, tapping into them and acknowledging how they've shaped me. Also, allowing me to greet the future in a more understanding and compassionate way. Bernie is an excellent counsellor. Bernie created a safe and comfortable environment where I could openly speak about difficulties that I was experiencing without any judgement at all. Bernie is specifically good at unearthing the reasons why we feel a particular way - may it be childhood, or a specific experience in your past. After a couple of sessions with Bernie, I realised I was speaking about things that I thought were totally unrelated to what I was currently going through but Bernie was able to piece together how certain thoughts and anxieties are formed. I seen Bernie for a period of 6 months and I am in a very different place now to when I started therapy with her. I would highly recommend.
