Robert has lived and worked in the northeast for over 8 years. Before co-founding Body 2 Fit, Robert worked in the NHS, where his last post was Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Accident & Emergency responsible for the accurate diagnosis, treatment and management of acute injuries.Robert has a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy, a Degree in Sports Science and is a fully qualified Body Control Pilates Teacher. Combining all of these academic qualifications, Robert specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of Sporting Injuries and Spinal Conditions.Having a keen interest in all sport, playing football, tennis, basketball and enjoying surfing and snowboarding, Robert is fully aware of the demands on today’s amateur and elite athletes. Robert suffered a back injury whilst playing football and turned to Pilates for rehabilitation. Having personal experience of its benefits, Robert continues to practice the method daily and believes that Pilates can benefit everyone. He works closely with sports teams and elite and amateur athletes helping to prevent injury and improve performance. In his capacity as a Physiotherapist, Sports Scientist and Pilates Teacher, Robert has worked with the following clients/organisations: Middlesbrough Football Club Hartlepool United Football Club All England Netball Association (AENA) PGA Registered Professional Golfers Home Nations Basketball Teams (England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales) International & 6-times National Women’s Road Bike Champion.
