Aine graduated from Dublin City University in 1998 with an MSc in Science Communication. She worked as an Instructor on ITEC's Sports Massage and Personal Training courses teaching Anatomy & Physiology. She also qualified as a Fitness Instructor and was one of Team Ireland's Table Tennis coaches in the Special Olympics World Games 2003. After qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University in Southampton in 2009, she worked for a number of years in the NHS in acute and community settings, doing rotations in ICU, respiratory, outpatients, surgical, neuro rehabilitation, community and care of the elderly. She also spent time working privately with Solent University's elite sports teams and high performance athletes. Since then she has worked mainly in private practice, treating musculoskeletal conditions and performing biomechanical assessment and treatments. As a keen sportswoman herself, she is particularly interested in sports injury rehabilitation.
