Biography:

Brian McKenna BSc (Hons) Ost. MSCC. is a graduate of the British School of Osteopathy (BSO), fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council, a member of the British Osteopathic Association, the British Medical Acupuncture Society and the Sutherland Cranial College (SCC).

He was appointed by the privy council to the General Osteopathic Council in 2009, the body that regulates osteopathy in the UK.

He teaches on the integrated Masters Degree in Osteopathy at Swansea University and is pursuing the post graduate “Osteopathy in the Cranial Field” course with the SCC as well as a post graduate certificate in academic and clinical education.

He has also completed post graduate training in "dry needling" acupuncture.

He is a former committee member of the South Wales Osteopathic Society and is a member of the SCC research sub committee. 

He has written for both osteopathic and nursing professional journals and lectured on many subjects, including osteopathy, infantile colic and clinical audit.

His main interests are in the fields of research, back pain & shoulder dysfunction.
