Doctors @ Teneriffe is a vibrant and modern medical centre located 3km from the Brisbane City.  Our practice is open 7 days a week for your convenience.  We have parking onsite and is easily accessible by bus and ferry.  Complimentary Wifi is provided for patient use as well as for use of the wider community around practice premise.  Feel free to connect on our free Wifi when you walk by!

Travel Medicine Clinic - We provide a comprehensive list of travel immunisations and is an accredited yellow fever vaccination centre.  Our doctors at the travel clinic are members of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds Certificate in Travel Health.

Skin Cancer Clinic - Our skin cancer doctors have postgraduate training in skin cancer medicine and skin surface microscopy.  If you have a suspicious spot, a biopsy or removal of the spot can be performed onsite.

Women's Health Clinic - Our doctors provides all areas of women's health services and offers IUD insertion.

Dr Dora Lee

Biography:
Dora obtained her bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2007 after working as a physiotherapist. She was inspired into general practice by Dr Chris as a medical student and trained by Dr John as a registrar and feels privileged to share the vision and work alongside with two of the most accomplished general practitioners she had known. Dora enjoys all areas of general practice and has particular interest in travel medicine, skin cancer medicine and women’s health. She had obtained the Certificate of Sexual and Reproductive Health with Family Planning Queensland and the Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a Certificate in Travel Health. Dora had been the GP Hospital Ambassador for GP training consortium in 2009 and had volunteered her time as a doctor providing medical care in the Solomon Islands. Outside of medicine, Dora enjoys being involved in hosting and organising community cultural events such as the Lunar New Year Festival. She is a diver and is qualified to do diving medicals and managing diving related medical conditions.

Dr Chris Hannon

Biography:
Chris graduated from the University of Monash in 1977 and is an experienced GP with more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice. He is a senior lecturer of the University of Queensland School of Medicine and has been actively involved in clinical teaching of medical students and mentoring of GP registrars in the last 20 years. Chris was the recipient of the RACGP Mary Mahoney Award for his outstanding performance in the GP Fellowship assessment. He holds a diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and has a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis using dermoscopy and advanced skills in procedures and minor surgery which involves doing flap and graft repairs. Chris is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a Certificate in Travel Health. He volunteered as a doctor providing medical care in the Solomon Islands with an international team of doctors and nurses.

Biography:
John entered medicine at the University of Queensland in 1977 and he has been a clinician and educator in general practice for over 25 years. John enjoys teaching in all facets of general practice health care and participates in the training of medical students and general practice registrars. John regularly presents GP education sessions for doctors in the areas of diabetes, mental health, asthma and cardiovascular health. John is currently a board director of health organisations involved in both hospital services and primary care. In 2008 John was awarded the John Aloizos Medal for outstanding individual contribution to the Australian General Practice Network. He would love to continue working towards improving the quality of care people receive in their community, general practice and health care home.

Biography:
Karenne entered medicine at the University of Queensland in 1977, graduating with honours and entering general practice in 1984. She has worked continuously in general practice since then, practicing at Florence Street Teneriffe since 2008, Her four children, now all adults have ensured that Karenne has been closely involved with the community in which she lives and works. She has been involved with training of GP registrars and medical students and regularly attends education meetings across the country. Karenne is qualified to provide shared antenatal care with Mater Hospital, a skill which compliments her special interest of nurturing families through quality healthcare.

Biography:
Fiona is moving to Teneriffe having been one of the Sunshine Coast’s leading General Practitioners. Fiona has a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and has a strong interest in women’s health issues including health checks, antenatal care, [Treatment name removed] IUD insertion, mental health issues and counselling. Originally trained in Victoria, she has a number of roles in Primary Care Health in Australia, including as trainer to GP registrars and serves on several boards, where she uses her experience and knowledge to help educate patients and the community about health issues.

Biography:
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982 and completed her intern years at the Mater Hospital. Following 5 years of extensive paediatric experience in both Queensland and New South Wales, Elizabeth entered General Practice, and has been active as a clinician in her community for over 20 years. She was awarded her Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2000. Liz also has a special interest in aged care and chronic illness, and works to improve the quality of life in community care. She has been actively involved in the teaching of medical students over the years, and continues to hold current alignment with the Mater Mothers Hospital for shared maternity care.

Biography:
Juliet graduated from the University of Queensland in 1976, and after completing her internship at the Cairns Base hospital, she gained significant paediatric experience at the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane. She has since had extensive experience working in general practice in Brisbane continuously for many years. This includes running her own practice on Brisbane's southside for almost 15 years. Juliet is interested in all aspects of general practice especially women's health, paediatrics, reproductive medicine and family planning. She is experienced in all areas of family medicine from preventative health to geriatrics and has undertaken upskilling in skin cancer management performing full skin checks, dermoscopy and minor surgery for skin lesions.
