What is a Dental Implant?

Dental implants are artificial screws made of titanium or zirconium oxide that connect the jawbone and a dental restoration like a crown or denture. They are also called ‘endosseous’ implants or fixtures. They are an artificial tooth root. Once implanted, the implant integrates with the surrounding bone like part of the body. Dental surgeons perform bone grafting procedures to hold the implant in place for patients who do not have enough surrounding bone structure, or graft bone to help connect implants to the maxillary sinuses on either side of the nose when placing dental implants in the upper jaw.

The relaxed atmosphere and Ramin's fun nature has made my experience pleasurable. So many people kept on telling me to go to Turkey to have my teeth done because it will be cheaper, well I didn’t because we have the best Dentish here on our doorstep. So if your thinking about getting your implants done, don’t think twice make an appointment with Ramin you really will be happy like me. To finish off my treatment I also had a whitening treatment. To replace a missing tooth, a titanium root is placed in the gum where your natural roots would have been sited, and a porcelain replacement tooth is bonded to it after a short healing period. Alternatively, mini implants can be placed around the gum and your denture effectively press studs to them giving a rock solid fit. At Dental Solutions Lymm, we have installed a dedicated separate implant suite at the practice for the comfort of our patients. This suite has the latest bespoke equipment and Richard Brookshaw is one of a handful of surgeons in the country to place the general dental implants, same day smiles and especially zygomatic dental implants. Richard works along with our principal dentist Gavin Laidlaw who restores the implants and our friendly nurses who will look after you throughout your time at the practice. Dental Solutions is one of a very few places in the country to offer zygomatic dental implants.

I joined this dentist a few months ago and I'm so glad I did. My dentist Ameena and her assistant and all staff have made me feel so welcome and Ameena has calmed my nerves amazingly. I had 3 teeth all broken with just the root left and feared there was no hope for them but Ameena has built me 3 new teeth that look amazing and unbelievably real, I was in shock, I actually cried and all at an extremely reasonable price. I honestly can't thank Amena enough and this amazing dental practice
