BDS(Brist) MFDS RCS (Ed)
Principal Dentist - GDC No: 82858
Originally from Neath, Chris followed in his brothers’ footsteps and studied dentistry at the University of Bristol (BDS). Following graduation Chris returned to South Wales to pursue his career, starting in a general dental practice and later as a Clinical Assistant in Oral Surgery at Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil. He decided to further his surgical skills and maintained posts as Senior House Officer and then Clinical Fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. Extensive training at the Royal Gwent Hospital led to Chris passing post graduate exams to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS). Following the hospital appointments, Chris has enjoyed returning to general practice and combining his surgical skills with an interest in complex restorative dentistry. This has naturally led to an enthusiasm for placing and restoring dental implants, which marries the surgical and restorative fields of dentistry. Having completed a year-long Certificate in Implant Dentistry, Chris is now part way through a MSc programme in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and The University of Leeds.
