Dental Bonding

Tooth bonding is a technique done with the use of tooth colored material called composite for a more natural looking restoration. It can be used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth. It may also be used to close a small gaps between front teeth (diastema). Composites may also be used to cover up some minor teeth imperfections such as misaligned chipped off and disfigured tooth. However, tooth bonding has some limitations. It may not be used on a large cavity since it could not widthstand the forces of chewing.

Dental Checkup

Dental Crowns

When a tooth is badly broken, front or back, tooth bonding material alone may not be able to widthstand the forces of mastication or chewing. To give it a full strenth it will have to be held with a crown. This will cover and compensate the lost tooth structure giving it a better look and strength.

Dental Implants

Mini Implants

The Mini Dental Implant System consists of a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture, The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a predetermined leve of force. When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue. The implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces. The most effective use of this unique dental product is stabilization of a lower denture. A majority suffer a great deal of discomfort as a result of lose or ill-fitting dentures. Many denture wearers simply withdraw from any type of social engagement as a result of being compelled to wear them. Moreover, it's not uncommon for family members to complain about a denture wearer's disagreeable breath as a result of food being trapped and decaying under their denture prosthesis. Successful placement of the Mini Dental Implant addresses and solves all of these social and practical problems. Denture patients all over the world have experienced relief from loos or ill-fitting dentures from doctors who are trained to place the MDI. Uniquely, the MDI can be utilized to stablilize a denture in a couple of hours by a trained doctor, with the patient leaving the clinic with a stabilized prosthesis.

Dentures

Complete dentures cover your entire jaw, either upper or lower. It rests directly on the gum that covers the bone. When it comes to dentures the most common source of agony is a bad fit. It’s something that’s hard to avoid since your gums are between a rock and a hard place. The rock is your jawbone, and that hard place is the hard acrylic liner that holds the prosthetic teeth. While some people can wear dentures without a single complaint, most denture wearers feel some discomfort. Reasons for discomfort and denture misfit are related to the ever-changing conditions in the mouth. Hard dentures don’t adjust to new shapes and hence most long-time denture wearers end up using some form of adhesive to increase stability while wearing their dentures.

Fixed Partial Dentures

These are porcelain dentures cemented in place and better simulate natural teeth. Bridges are more expensive than removable partial dentures and require healthy adjacent teeth to support them. A crown is placed over the adjace tooth, contains the "keyhole." The denture contains the "key." When you put in your denture, the "key" fits into the "keyhole" in the crown. This type of denture looks better because there are no clasps and it also fits tighter.

Removable Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures are often composed of a metal framework with plastic teeth and gum areas. The framework includes metal clasps or other attachments, which hold the denture in place.

Root canals

When a deep cavity, decay or crack destroys these protective layers of the teeth, the pulp is exposed to the bacteria in your mouth. This can result in inflammation, infection and, eventually, necrosis (pulp death). A severe blow to the tooth can also damage the pulp. Irritants may then escape from the end of the root and cause a diseased area (apical lesion) in the bone. The procedure involves removing the inflamed or damaged tissue from inside a tooth and cleaning, filling and sealing the remaining space. An examination, including radiographs, will be performed. A local anesthetic will be given, if necessary.

Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Laminates is a technique that uses thin shells of porcelain to cover the front side of teeth to create an aesthetic improvement on a tooth. This technique is usually used on discolored, chipped, or worn tooth. Although porcelain is known to be brittle, it becomes very strong and durable when firmly bonded to a sturdy substructure like tooth. One advantage of porcelain veneer over other cosmetic bonding materials, is the fact that they are translucent that when bonded on a tooth surface, it closely mimics the light handling characteristics of dental enamel. Another significant advantage of porcelain laminates as compared to cosmetic dental bonding materials is that it is porcelain, and so are glass-like which makes it extremely stain resistant.
