He graduated from the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the AKH in Vienna. His main areas of operation are aesthetic surgery in general, peripheral nerve surgery, reconstructive breast surgery and microsurgery in particular. He wrote numerous scientific publications and conducted several projects at home and abroad. For his scientific activities, he received the "Peat Prize" from the Indian Society of Plastic Surgery and the "Billroth Prize" of the Austrian Medical Association. He regularly attends international congresses and workshops and since 2005 he has given lectures on aesthetic surgery several times a year as a invited speaker. In 2008, he set new standards worldwide in the area of ??patient education and information. Together with Mrs. Elis Sonnleitner, he published the 13-volume book series "Enzyklopaedia Aesthetica". Each band informs about a cosmetic procedure and deals with photos and drawings in detail on risks and complications. In this way, he certainly anticipated the new aesthetic surgery law of BM Stöger, which came into effect in January 2013 and calls for particularly comprehensive information on cosmetic interventions.

He was a doctor of the entire healing science at the University of Vienna in 1986. After graduation, he completed his training as a specialist in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine. Subsequently, he took a scientific career and habilitated in 2000 on the subject of "preimplantological diagnostics". Afterwards, he worked for many years as a university lecturer at the Department of Dental Prosthodontics and at the Department of Periodontics in Vienna. He is author of more than 50 scientific publications and regularly invited lecturers at international congresses. He was chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Austrian Society for Periodontics. His clinical focus is in periodontics, oral surgery and aesthetic dentistry.

In 1995, he opened his first ordination in Vienna-Brigittenau, and in 2003 his second (private) in the city center of Vienna. In order to keep pace with the rapid development of these subjects, he visits several times a year at home and abroad. His patients benefit from this because their treatment methods are always based on the latest medical condition. In this sense, he expanded his ordination with his own dental laboratory and thereby ensured that the technical production was subject to his immediate supervision and control. In particular through the training abroad, his understanding of the aesthetics of the face as a necessary supplement to the tooth treatment arose. This was followed by the next logical step with the founding of the Competence Center for Aesthetic Face Treatment in the City of Vienna: " City Face and Dental Care ".
