I was very pleased with how efficient the clinic was

4 50 Root Canals

My Root Canals appointment at the Homebush Dental Practice went very well and I was very pleased with how efficient the clinic was. I was given a great consultation and great treatment all at a fairly reasonable price.

I can give them a good rating because the price was fair and reasonable. I did not have to struggle to find the clinic, their consultation and treatment were quite good and their service was excellent.

Braces

What are the types of orthodontic treatments? Braces – Traditional metal or modern ceramic brackets are attached to each tooth and an archwire is threaded through. The constant pressure exerted on the teeth and bones by the wire will gradually move the teeth in to the desired position. Elastic bands are stretched between the upper and lower braces if additional force is required to move the teeth. Clear aligners – Clear aligners such as the Invisalign, can be used to correct many misalignment and crowding issues without the discomfort and appearance of metal braces and wires. Clear aligners need to be worn continuously except during eating and with time will apply gradual pressure on teeth and bones to move them into the desired position. Plates – Plates are small plastic devices that can be used in the mouth to push teeth in to the desired position or hold them in place. Unlike traditional braces which are attached to the teeth, plates can be taken in and out of the mouth.

Porcelain Bridge per unit

$1275 per tooth You will need at least two appointments, as we need to prepare your teeth and take impressions of them, and then send the impressions off to the lab for the bridge to be made. In the meantime, we will put a temporary bridge on your prepared tooth to protect it. When the bridge is sent back from the lab, we can fit it onto your prepared tooth. Once fitted, the bridge should feel completely comfortable and natural in your mouth and should last for many years, however, factors such as your oral hygiene and oral health will affect exactly how long they last. We will show you how to clean your bridge properly in order to ensure they last for as long as they can.

Dental Crowns (2 sessions)

Artificial crowns or tooth caps are fitted over a tooth that is chipped, broken or weakened and serves to strengthen the tooth and increase it’s longevity. You will need at least two appointments, as we need to prepare your teeth and take impressions of them, and then send the impressions off to the lab for the crown to be made. In the meantime, we will put a temporary crown on your prepared tooth to protect it. When the crown is sent back from the lab, we can fit it onto your prepared tooth. Once fitted, the crown should feel completely comfortable and natural in your mouth and should last for many years, however, factors such as your oral hygiene and oral health will affect exactly how long they last. We will show you how to clean your crown properly in order to ensure they last for as long as they can.

Invisalign™

Invisalign orthodontic aligners are clear plastic trays that could help correct your crowded or misaligned teeth without the need for uncomfortable and unaesthetic metal braces and brackets. The teeth are moved gradually, with a new set of clear trays every fortnight, until the desired level of movement is achieved. The plastic trays are comfortable to use and can be worn daily (including overnight). The clear trays are all but invisible in your mouth, so most people won’t even realise you are getting orthodontic treatment when they see you.

Root Canals (3 sessions)

Millions of teeth are saved with root canal treatment every year. Root canal treatment can help to save your smile and take away pain from an infected or inflamed pulp. Without root treatment, there may be an abscess formed at the tip of the root and there will be constant and often unbearable pain. The procedure involves removing the infected pulp inside the tooth. We will then place some medication inside the root canal system to settle it down. If there is no sign of infection or inflammation at the review appointment after the pulp has been removed, then we can proceed to carefully shape and disinfect each canal in the tooth. Once this has been completed, the tooth is ready to be restored. We will first place a rubber like material inside the canals to seal them and prevent further infection with bacteria. Afterwards, the tooth can be restored with either a filling or a crown. It is recommended in most instances that the root treated tooth be restored with a crown to maximise the longevity of the root canal treatment and prevent future infections.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Free Take Home Kit with In Chair Teeth Whitening. Zoom Teeth Whitening is when a bleaching agent is used to lighten the color of teeth. Natural teeth colors vary from off-white to yellower shades. Some factors influencing tooth color includes surface stains from lifestyle factors (smoking, coffee, red wine), age, poor oral hygiene, some medicines, dental problems (tooth decay, thin enamel, calculus, old fillings), and excessive fluoride. Tooth discoloration by surface stains or age usually respond best to whitening attempts. If you express an interest in Zoom teeth whitening, we will go through your medical and dental history and will also examine your teeth in order to try and determine the reason for the discoloration and decide on the best method of whitening to attempt. If you have any tooth decay or gum disease, we would advise that this be treated first. Most whitening treatments last from one to three years and can be reapplied in this time, however, depending on individual factors such as smoking, diet and oral hygiene, sometimes the results may only last for a few months. If you have any questions or concerns about the treatment, please discuss them with us before we begin the treatment.
$900 - $1100

Porcelain Veneers (2 sessions)

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of tooth colored porcelain that can be chemically bonded to the tooth to hide any aesthetic issues such as cracked, broken, chipped, discolored, or slightly misaligned teeth. They are more conservative than crowns and can be used on strong and healthy teeth to improve their appearance. Two appointments will be necessary to prepare the teeth and fit the veneers. It is possible to get a range of colors and shapes with veneers, so please be clear with your dentist about exactly what you are expecting and let us know at each step if you are completely satisfied with the veneers so that we can work with you to help you achieve the smile you desire. If you are unhappy with the color or shape of the veneer that is made in the lab, please discuss your concerns with our friendly dentists as soon as you see it and before they cement it onto your teeth – once the veneer is cemented onto the tooth, it is difficult to adjust the color and shape.
