He graduated from the "University of Athens Medical School";  in 2004 he was awarded his first PhD Thesis from the "University of Crete Medical School" and in 2016 his second PhD Thesis from the "University of Thrace Medical School".  In 2008 he completed his specialization in Plastic Surgery at the "Anticancer Hospital of Athens" and immediately after he obtained a "Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship" under the auspices of the "Dutch Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2009 he worked as a Plastic Surgeon at the "Centre Chirurgical Des Princes" in Paris, France collaborating with Dr Marchac. In 2010 he was awarded with the certificate of the "European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery" (EBOPRAS) at Bern, Switzerland and at 2014 became a member at the "International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery" (ISAPS). He has an over than 10years experience in Plastic Surgery and also is an active member of "LEAP/Surgical Relief Teams" which assembles humanitarian missions in all over the world.

Doctor Athanasios Skouras is the President of the Greek Academy of Functional Rhinoplasty. He performs over 700 rhinoplasties per year. Doctor Skouras was born in Monastiraki, Argolis .He graduated from Argos High School in 1973 and entered the Military Medical School with the ranking “first”. He graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in July 1979. From 1979 to 1983 he served at the Surgery Clinic of the Athens Naval Hospital. From 1983 to 1988 he served in the ORL Clinic of the Athens University Medical School and receives the specialty of Surgeon Otolaryngologist. In 1989 he concluded his PhD in Athens University Medical School. Since 1988 he has been serving in the ORL Clinic of the Athens Naval Hospital .He was sent by the Navy for specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Nose, Face and Neck in the U.S.(ORL Clinic-Department of Facial Plastic Surgery of Oregon Health and Science University , Portland, Oregon, USA) and Great Britain(Royal Ear , Nose and Throat Hospital in London) In all of these Clinics he specialized in all of plastic and reconstructive operations of the face, focusing on Functional Rhinoplasty.
