What is Microdermabrasion?Throughout your life, your skin is constantly working to replace your old dry skin cells with fresh new ones. A microdermabrasion treatment takes 45 minutes to one hour. In that time we cleanse, scrub and perform an AHA peel prior to the microdermabrasion treatment and then apply a soothing mask and moisturiser. The dead abraded skin is then sucked away via a vacuum extractor. The diamond head is passed over the treatment area several times. Older machines use microdermabrasion crystals to achieve the same result. Results are instantly visible with no downtime. You may experience a slight tingling sensation and increased redness, however within 2 – 4 hours the redness will subside and within 24 – 48 hours the skin texture will be at it's optimum.
