Qualified first as a nurse and subsequently specialising in all the latest non-surgical skin treatments, owner Dawn Richardson opened the clinic in Barry to offer advanced skin treatments with a caring and individual approach.
“Providing a good experience for clients is very important to me. We use only Medical Grade treatments that are research-based and passed for use in the UK,” says Dawn.
“All treatments are designed individually. I offer free consultations as sometimes I might suggest a treatment you had not previously considered.
“I have been nursing for 20 years and have always had a role in skin care, including deep vein thrombosis. After moving to Cardiff with my two children in 2009 I realised I did not want to stay in the NHS forever and I decided to expand my nursing skills.
“I originally trained in the use of [Treatment name removed]s for the treatment of lines and wrinkles, and dermal fillers for deeper lines. I found this very rewarding and satisfying and also that I enjoyed treating their problems as well as the symptoms like wrinkles.
“I discovered Obagi, a range of prescriptive skin care products that can help minimise the signs of ageing and treat concerns such as sunspots, acne, melasma and loss of volume. This range is available only from medically trained practitioners.
“Being registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an independent prescriber allows me the privilege to treat underlying problems and not just the wrinkles.
“I love all treatments that make a client’s skin look and feel younger. I feel it is vital to offer the full range of skincare and treatments to clients so a tailored treatment plan can be offered.
“The ability to sculpt a client’s face is very satisfying. From enhancing lips to liquid face lifts, the use of fillers, collagen stimulants, resurfacing and antioxidants can change a client’s life and make them more confident and happier,” says Dawn.
“Having worked from home for two years I have decided it’s time to open a clinic specialising in advance clinical treatments. I will be available at the clinic five days per week and one day I will continue to work for a leading private hospital.”
